Five matching antique ceramic glazed 6 inch square tiles made around 1900 probably. Commonly used in old cast iron fireplaces (they usually have 5 down each side) or in wash stand splashbacks, though they can be used in lots of decorative situations. These ones have a brown monochrome, transfer printed design, under the glaze, with a chequered design of stylised flowers and leaves. Condition is pretty good: there are various scuffs and dings though nothing unexpected for the age. Price is for all five Dimensions: 153mm sq x 10mm
